Connecticut Camps and Clinics

Swim in the placid Long Island Sound on a marked swim course and cycle through the rolling hills and beaches of Fairfield County. The open water swim course could not be more perfect for improving technique and gaining confidence and speed, while the cycling course is built to take advantage of a variety of terrain, from rolling hills and steep climbs to straight away flats along the beach. The cycling course takes place on some of the most picturesque roads in New England, where Bicycling Magazine rates it as one of the top 50 rides in the nation.

The Connecticut training site is only 1 hour from NYC and easily accessible by car or by Metro North out of Grand Central Station, NYC. Taxis are available at the Fairfield station and a personal pick up and drop off can be arranged.

Select a 1 day intensive clinic, to get in the mileage with personalized instruction, that will fit nicely into your busy life. Or stay for a 2nd day for more training, a recovery inducing massage and a relaxing evening enjoying the New England culture.


Sample Itinerary

Day 1:

  • Early morning dry land instruction & drills followed by an open water swim.

  • Swim debriefing and Q&A

  • Refuel, change & bike check.

  • Wheels up- 35-50 miles of gorgeous, un-crowded & challenging riding.

  • Finish, hydrate, debrief, back to the hotels for a shower or off to the beach for a relaxing dip in the Long Island Sound!

  • Therapeutic massage can be part of  post work out regimen.  Let Coach Chris know in advance and this can be arranged.

  • Rest, relaxation, dinner and sleep.

Day 2: (Optional as part of 2 day clinic)

  • Recovery ride or Swim based on the desires of each athlete group.

  • Return to athlete hotels for check out.

  • Light Breakfast

  • Q&A: Triathlon strategy, race day planning, nutrition, training,, equipment, etc. Location TBA
